Awesome Retro Finds of the Week 07: N64 & More

I've mostly found Genesis games in the past weeks, but this week I went to store and got my hands on some N64 titles.

I know, they're hard to read so I'll do it for you: here we have Nightmare Creatures, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Hexen, and Yoshi's Story. They were $3 each. It's nice to build up my N64 collection. Now if I only I could find some SNES games one of these days! 

This also came in from Amazon. It's tied into last week's post about filling the gaps in your collection. This is Syphon Filter 2, and it was purchased for a grand total of $0.83 + shipping. 

Finally, this next item is NOT retro whatsoever. I just wanted to post it to point out that you can find newer items at thrift stores too, not just 10+ year old games.

I found this at the local Goodwill, just sitting on a shelf next to a bunch of old tube TVs. It's Wii Fit with the Wii Balance Board. Currently, this sells brand new for $100 on Amazon. I got it for $39.99. Not bad at all.

My work schedule is changing in April, so although I'm getting a schedule I LOVE compared to the crappy one I have now, it does involve working 10-hour days on Saturdays. What does that mean for upcoming yard sale season?? Well I guess I'll be surfing around on Sundays, which I'm not too familiar with so I don't know how the finds are. At least there are numerous thrift stores in our area to fall back on.
